Job Description
Changeis, Inc. is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer 2 to support enterprise IT shared services operations within a cabinet-level federal agency environment. This role blends software development lifecycle expertise with cloud infrastructure engineering in a DevSecOps model.
Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (AWS preferred)

Operate within a DevSecOps framework aligned with federal security requirements

Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes

Implement automated infrastructure capabilities including backups, monitoring, and security tooling

Utilize configuration and deployment tools (Jenkins, Maven, Puppet, Ansible)

Manage version control workflows (Git, Bitbucket, SVN, or similar)
-
Collaborate across development and operations teams to streamline delivery
Required Qualifications

10+ years of IT experience (application development background preferred)

6+ years in DevOps/SDLC environments

Strong understanding of CI/CD, automation, and DevSecOps principles

Hands-on AWS experience and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK)

Experience with deployment/configuration tools (Jenkins, Maven, Puppet, Ansible)

Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, SVN)

Knowledge of networking, databases, and cloud architecture

Ability to obtain and maintain a federal public trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

AWS DevOps Engineer Professional or Solutions Architect Professional certification

Containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS)

Familiarity with federal DevSecOps frameworks

Scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

Monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus)
-
Experience supporting federal IT contracts
