Project Manager (Engineering)

Summary

Managing and leading the project team—including internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and consortium partners, as applicable—as well as coordinating with external interfaces for projects of up to high complexity.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the project team to achieve and further improve the cost, schedule, quality and EHS targets
  • Supervise the final negotiations for the allocated project and provides the execution strategy
  • Ensures that the project schedule baseline is signed by the involved parties at the start of the project
  • Perform proper risk and opportunity management
  • Prepare and perform Project Reviews as requested, report according Bühler Project Management process
  • Responsible for the site briefing meeting; Ensures that all site relevant documents are handed over to site personnel
  • Ensure forecasting accuracy and monitor project KPIs including Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Cost Performance Index (CPI), timely Turnover (TO) and manual TO Pulls if needed, to drive project success

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years as Project Manager or proof of sufficient skills (full cycle project management)
  • Plant Engineering experience is a must
  • Preferably PMI/PMP Certification
  • Strong planning, organizing and priority setting skills, with a proven ability to manage teams
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interface effectively with people inside and outside of the company
