About the team The commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading Internet companies, and its future growth cannot be underestimated. We are looking for passionate and talented people to join our team as a Seller Acquisition & Growth Manage. In this role, you will focus on driving large-scale merchant acquisition for TikTok Shop through offline channels and ecosystem partnerships, while also managing and growing a portfolio of merchants. This role focuses on recruiting merchants at scale via industry events, trade fairs, and strategic collaborations with logistics, payment, and commerce service providers, as well as identifying category opportunities and guiding merchants on campaigns, assortment, and growth levers to maximize GMV.
Responsibilities:
- Lead merchant acquisition through offline channels, including trade shows, exhibitions, roadshows, and ecosystem events.
- Build and manage partnerships with ecosystem players (ISVs, logistics providers, payment service providers) to create scalable recruitment pipelines.
- Own acquisition targets and track performance across offline and partner-led channels using CRM and data dashboards.
- Manage a portfolio of seller, identifying category opportunities and advising on campaign participation, assortment strategy, and commercial levers to drive GMV growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Product) to streamline merchant onboarding and improve conversion efficiency.
- Analyze channel performance and continuously optimize acquisition strategies based on data and market insights.
- Capture and share best practices and market learnings to scale successful recruitment models.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in merchant acquisition, BD, or ecosystem growth within e-commerce, marketplaces, or SaaS.
- Hands-on experience with offline events, trade fairs, or partner-driven merchant recruitment.
- Familiarity with e-commerce ecosystems, including logistics, payments, and merchant service providers.
- Strong data and execution mindset, with the ability to manage acquisition performance at scale.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Solid understanding of the Brazil e-commerce landscape.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced in relatable in-category management, at a large partners, or agency side or other company with specialism in Fashion is preferred.
- Strong sense of social content (livestream and short-video is a preference), practical experience in the social commerce, content marketing, influencers, and creativity in the categories is a plus;
- Collaborative and open to changes and challenges and learn;
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt quickly to change.
