Job Summary

 

This role exists to protect portfolio performance, improve customer outcomes, and strengthen end-to-end fleet account management across servicing, collections, and workout resolution. Fort Worth, Tx. location. No sponsorship and no relocation. Post internally and externally for 5 days. MBM Core position. This role is responsible for end-to-end management of Fleet Services and Fleet Workout activities, including customer service delivery, portfolio monitoring, collections, and workout execution.

 

The position leads strategy and operations to:

 

Deliver best-in-class customer experience (CSI/DSI)

 

Minimize losses and manage fleet portfolio risk

 

Oversee fleet lifecycle from servicing through delinquency and workout resolution

 

The role also provides operational reporting, and executive-level insights, while serving as a key SME for loss projections and strategic credit decisions. 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Fleet Services & Customer Experience (15%)

 

Lead Fleet Services operations to ensure efficient delivery and adherence to organizational objectives

 

Manage escalations and resolve complex service issues

 

Build strong partnerships across sales, credit, funding, and operations to enhance the customer lifecycle

 

2. Portfolio Management & Risk Oversight (15%)

 

Monitor fleet portfolio performance, payment behavior, and emerging risks

 

Maintain oversight of delinquency progression from collections into workouts

 

Provide forecasting, reporting, and trend analysis to senior leadership

 

Serve as SME for loss projections and strategic portfolio decisions 

 

3. Workout Strategy & Loss Mitigation (20%)

 

Lead all Fleet workout activities, including: 

 

Negotiation of restructuring terms with troubled accounts

 

Determining ability and willingness to pay

 

Structuring revised contract terms

 

Manage relationships with high-risk fleet accounts to optimize outcomes

 

Present restructured credit files to Senior Management and Credit Committees

 

Drive actions to minimize losses while preserving customer relationships 

 

4. Collections Integration (20%)

 

Oversee Fleet collections activities as accounts transition into workout status

 

Coordinate with regional credit teams to ensure consistent collection strategies and loss mitigation

 

Ensure alignment between servicing, collections, and workout execution 

 

5. Leadership & Team Development (10%)

 

Lead, coach, and develop a team (direct and indirect reports)

 

Establish training, performance management, and career development strategies

 

Review team activities and optimize performance, productivity, and outcomes

 

Foster a high-performance environment focused on accountability, development, and results 

 

6. Process Improvement & Strategy (10%)

 

Lead or contribute to initiatives that improve: 

 

Operational efficiency (OpEx)

 

Customer satisfaction

 

Portfolio performance

 

Identify and remove operational roadblocks

 

Drive continuous improvement across fleet servicing and workout processes

 

7. Governance, Compliance & Decision Making (10%)

 

Ensure compliance with: 

 

Global Credit Rules

 

MB AG / MBFS policies

 

Regulatory requirements

 

Make key decisions impacting: 

 

Risk exposure and losses

 

Customer experience (CSI/DSI)

 

Team performance and productivity

 

 

 

Key Stakeholders

 

Internal: Credit, Funding, Collections, Sales, Credit Operations Leadership

 

External: Fleet customers, dealers, large/at-risk accounts

 

Executive: Senior Management and Credit Committees

 

Qualifications:

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position. 
This position requires a minimum of 10 years of overall work experience. Preferred experience includes:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related)  


Experience

10+ years of experience in commercial credit, fleet finance, collections, workout, and portfolio management.

Demonstrated experience managing high-risk or distressed accounts.

Strong financial analysis, negotiation, and restructuring skills.

Experience preparing executive-level reporting and recommendations. 8–10+ years of relevant experience across:  

Credit / Fleet / Collections / Workout Management

Strong exposure to:  

Portfolio management

Loss mitigation and restructuring

Customer service operations
