Description
The Infor COM Application Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business logic and framework functionality within the Infor COM ERP solution. This role combines software engineering with a strong understanding of ERP processes and manufacturing business requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Management, Quality Assurance, Support, Consulting, and Development teams to deliver high-quality ERP solutions while contributing to future modernization and migration initiatives.
A Typical Day in the Life Includes:
- Design, develop, and maintain Infor COM application business logic and framework enhancements.
- Implement new functionality and product improvements based on business, customer, functional, and legal requirements.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Investigate and resolve software defects and support release validation activities.
- Work closely with technical and functional software engineers, Quality Assurance, Product Management, Support, and Consulting teams.
- Participate in ERP modernization and migration initiatives, including data and process transformation activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices, tools, and processes.
- Utilize modern development tools and AI-assisted engineering solutions to improve productivity and quality.
- Continuously expand knowledge of ERP systems, manufacturing processes, and software engineering best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience working with ERP solutions in software development, application support, consulting, implementation, or a similar role.
- Understanding of ERP processes within manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments.
- Programming experience in any object-oriented or procedural programming language.
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, international environment.
- English language proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Java or C++.
- Experience working with manufacturing ERP systems.
- ERP consulting or implementation background.
- Knowledge of business process mapping and ERP migrations.
- Experience with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Exposure to AI-assisted software development tools and practices.
- Experience working in complex enterprise software environments.
