
Windows Team Leader (2nd shift)

The team Leader is responsible for supervising all phases of the window or door manufacturing process, working directly with Team Members, EHS Manager, Materials Manager, Maintenance, TMX Manager, Production Manager, Area Coordinator, and General Manager.

EXPECTATIONS
Leadership
· Lead teams with a focus on developing a culture of mutual respect, recognition, teamwork, and accountability.
· Committed to providing substantial training and cross training for all TMs whether they are new-hires or tenured TM performing a new task.
· Identify and initiate opportunities for job rotations.
· Foster an environment to promote employee engagement
· Improve production processes by improving overall quality, reducing lead-times, and lowering costs of operations by utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods and tools
· Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Safety
· Elevate safety mindedness daily for self and team by promoting, identifying, correcting, and
improving the safety within immediate department as well as the entire plant. Put Safety 1st
· Comply to safety procedures and PPE requirements personally and for the team
· Ensure all TMs adhere to and are compliant with quality requirements/codes
· Direct teams effectively in each department to ensure timelines and production priorities are met
· Daily start of shift briefing / visual staffing board update
· Update team board for MDI information (Morale/Safety/Quality/Delivery/Cost)
· Initiate accident reporting and investigation
· Emergency evacuation lead
Quality
· Scrap reporting/SQI reporting to QC Coordinators
· Adhere to quality standards and requirements
· Support reduction of scrap
Delivery
· Schedule adherence
· Communication (clear shift hand over / end of shift production report completion and communication)
· Ensure adequate amount of WIP staged for next shift
· Record maintenance issues
· Work Order completion and transactions
· Time / attendance reporting to payroll
