THE REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of experience in an MEP Building Consultancy or BIM Production Company.
- 4+ years of experience producing drawings using 3D Modelling tools, ideally, at least 3 years using REVIT MEP. Navisworks.
- Experience in commercial, residential, educational, healthcare and industrial projects.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Digital Engineering, or related field.
- Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards and digital project delivery frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Possess a good knowledge of the practicalities of design, and the ability to make informed design decisions.
- An understanding of the overall workings of BIM modelling is essential, and the ability to fill in for senior staff when required, e.g., model set-up and management.
- Basic understanding of LEAN principles, ISO 19650 and Information Management – Cobie/IFC Delivery.
- Use Autodesk Revit tools to present design and engineering solutions.
- Naviswork Clash – detection process for MEP Coordination,
- Schematics Production in AutoCAD from Floor plan / Mark up.
- Document all designs in accordance with requirements of design practice manuals.
- Manage own continuous development and support the development of colleagues.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple jobs/tasks.
- Drive excellence through high-quality work.
- Proactive approach to work with a strong team spirit.
- Confident to speak up and make decisions.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design management of projects as appropriate to ensure deadlines are met.
- Carry out M&E design work as applicable using REVIT MEP and Navis delivering constructible 3D clash free models for EDC’s clients.
- Produce Revit models coordinated with architectural and structural designs.
- Assist the project lead in preparing calculations and construction documentation.
- Research, plan, design and develop building engineering systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing and electrical, in strict consultation and coordination with the project lead.
- Ensure BIM & CAD standards are upheld
