Well Operations Tech

Position Description:

The Well Operations Tech is primarily responsible for the operation, logistics (moving rig up and down), and maintenance of the Well Operations department equipment.

 

Job Responsibilities / Duties:

• Main responsibility is the movement and rig up and rig down of the Flogistix and well unload compressors
• Potentially moving multiple units each day and assisting with rig up and rig down
• Maintenance and minor trouble shooting of mechanical issues
• Working with Well Operations Specialist, TEP mechanics, and Flogistix mechanics, when needed
• Performing preventative maintenance on the well unload compressors and tracking maintenance on the Flogistix rental units
• Maintenance scheduling and tracking of Well Operations dept. fleet of trucks
• Operating the units when Well Operations Specialist or Lead Pumper of the field the equipment is located is not available
• Tracking and documentation responsibilities
• Some tracking to support Well Operations Specialist with where and what well each unit is on, when needed
• Documenting maintenance work done and scheduling maintenance of the equipment
• Communicating with Well Operations Specialist and field personnel on scheduling of unit movement
• Working with field leads to schedule when equipment needs to be moved
• Working with field leads to assist in rig up/down of equipment

 

Working Conditions:

• This position involves outdoor work and may be subject to extreme weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds,
• Routine use of hand tools: hammers, wrenches, pipe wrenches with ability to properly tighten/torque fittings for safe operation

Qualifications:

• Good verbal and written communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner, in accordance with applicable procedures and/or work orders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
•  High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three to five years oil filed experience strongly preferred.
