Job Description
PURPOSE:
Support business development efforts by executing lead follow up, early stage qualification, and coordinated handoff to senior sales roles. Contribute to pipeline progression by maintaining consistent engagement, accurate CRM activity, and structured information gathering to enable revenue conversion.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Execute follow up on leads generated by Business Development Managers or Sales Managers through in-person cold call visits, phone, email, and digital outreach to initiate engagement and maintain momentum• Conduct early stage qualification to gather customer needs, application fit, decision process, and timing to support effective opportunity progression• Coordinate and schedule introductory and discovery meetings, ensuring clear communication and professional transition to senior sales ownership• Maintain accurate CRM records, including outreach activity, notes, next steps, and lead status to ensure pipeline transparency and reporting accuracy• Collaborate with internal teams such as customer service, credit, pricing, and technical resources to address basic inquiries and support lead advancement• Support pipeline management efforts by tracking activity, ensuring timely follow up, and aligning to defined sales processes and expectations• Develop working knowledge of products, markets, and customer segments to improve effectiveness and independence in lead engagement over time
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience• 0 to 3+ years of experience in sales support, inside sales, or customer engagement roles• Familiarity with CRM systems and structured sales processes• Strong communication, organization, and follow through skills
