We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Technician to join our Transport - Roads, Aviation, and Civil team.
Responsible for the complete civil engineering design requirement of the project.
Provides the necessary technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to the Civil Design staff to assure total quality of all engineering efforts.
Assists the Transport Civil Team Lead and Project Managers in delivering quality design services and meet revenue projections and client expectations.
Develops the appropriate quality engineering solutions, coordinates the activities of other group members and assists in production as needed to meet schedules.
Ensure that Design Standards are met and that design quality procedures are observed.
May serve as the Project Manager when dictated by project size, complexity or request.
Evaluates technical and logistic problem/s of personnel to ensure smooth flow of operation and maintain high standard of quality work.
Looks into business opportunities for WSP or assist in proposals related to line of expertise.
Keeps abreast of new developments and methods relevant to area of expertise.
Adheres to prescribed Design Standards and Design Quality Procedures.
Conscientiously work towards the group’s objectives and adhere to the company’s policy.
Evaluates staff performance in line with HR procedures.
Carry out cross discipline reviews, constructability checks and clash detection reviews.
Perform tasks assigned by Discipline Lead / Transport Manila Operations Manager/ Regional Team Executive in line with his experience, discipline or qualifications.
Excellent time management skills (prioritizing and follow-up).
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining momentum, and managing to project due dates.
BS in Civil Engineering Degree
At least 4 - 6 years relevant work experience.
Experience of geometric design of highways using Civil 3D, 12D, Open Roads, Dynamo, Open Rail, ProjectWise or similar software packages.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word and MS Excel is also desirable.
Extensive knowledge of relevant industry related Australian Standards, local Road Authority Standards and other road and civil design standards.
