Job Description

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) Technician. 

The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour.

The shift hours are 8am - 5pm.

What you’ll do:

The OPEX Tech is responsible for day-to-day floor support for continuous improvement and productivity improvements. In this role you will make process improvements through attending Tier Meetings and collecting and analyzing 5S, productivity, and other manufacturing data to improve safety, productivity, 5S, and cost. You will work closely with manufacturing and engineering functions to fill gaps, quickly implement solutions, and lead continuous improvement projects.

 

In this function you will:
•    Assist with action items assigned to the OPEX function 
•    Assist in training of plant personnel in lean manufacturing tools and activities 
•    Implement visual controls throughout the facility or product line such as Marking floors, labeling, shadow boards, and information boards.  
•    Assist with defining and requesting tools and other equipment needs 
•    Support training documentation for product line(s) and supporting documents like methods sheets, training videos, visual reference materials
•    Support Eaton’s Industry 4.0 strategy 
•    Lead various kaizen events based around product line requests, CI, 5S 
•    Monitor success of implemented ideas and programs  

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:  
•    Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. 
•    Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing environment is required
•    Previous experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Previous experience with leading RIE’s/Kaizen/Manufacturing Engineering Capital Projects and other CI Activities in manufacturing environment. 
•    Previous experience with Lean manufacturing tools and language 

Position Criteria:

•    Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
•    Must have a strong aptitude to interpret and design solutions with minimal information 
•    Must have interpersonal Skills
