Job Description
Natural Factors is seeking full‑time On Call Casual (OCC) – Operations Assistants to support our teams as business needs arise. This is a temporary, assignment‑based role designed to provide coverage during peak periods, short‑term staffing needs (such as vacations or leaves), and other operational demands. Successful candidates are hired into an OCC pool, where they will be considered for assignments as they become available. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to get their foot in the door, build hands‑on experience in a production environment, and grow their career with the largest nutraceutical organization in Canada.

Burnaby
Coquitlam
Delta
Pitt Meadows
Assignments follow a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, though the shift times vary by assignment. You must be available for both shifts, as you may be placed in either one depending on your assignment:
Morning Shift: Monday to Friday 6:15am - 2:15pm
Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday 2:15pm - 10:15pm
Your job responsibilities and compensation will vary depending on your assigned department. Here are examples from four departments:
Manufacturing Department ($23.14/hr.)
Move materials between the warehouse and production areas using pallet jacks; load and unload trucks and trailers
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials for accuracy and damage
Label, wrap, stage, and prepare finished goods, bulk products, returns, and packaging labels
Maintain organized receiving and storage areas, including clear aisles and efficient shuttle bay operation
Perform inventory bin counts, process label returns, and report equipment issues or safety concerns
Packaging Department ($20.45/hr.)
Support production line setup and changeovers by disassembling, cleaning, returning, staging, and preparing machine components
Assist with line cleaning, line clearance, rework activities, and 5S to maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace
Support packaging and packing operations, including assembling boxes/trays, replenishing supplies (waterspider), stretch‑wrapping, and label counts
Perform in‑process and required quality checks, and support complex packaging lines through task rotation and break coverage
Complete system transactions and data entry (Syspro, WMS) to support production flow and inventory accuracy
Warehouse Department ($20.45/hr.)
Move materials between the warehouse and production areas using pallet jacks; load and unload trucks and trailers
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials for accuracy and damage
Label, wrap, stage, and prepare finished goods, bulk products, returns, and packaging labels
Maintain organized receiving and storage areas, including clear aisles and safe shuttle bay operations
Perform inventory bin counts, process label returns, and report equipment or safety issues
Distribution Department ($20.45/hr.)
Pick, check, pack, and prepare orders accurately and efficiently
Ensure proper packing, placement, and skid wrapping for outbound delivery
Transfer completed orders to aisles and bays and restock picking bins and supplies as needed
Assemble cardboard displays and support general warehouse labour tasks
Communicate issues or activity updates to management and assist team members as required
