Shift: PRN
Location: 50 Doctor's Drive, Suite 1 Hendersonville, NC 28792
Cleans or discards Nerve Conduction electrodes following universal precautions. Prepares summary reports of electrophysiological data and compiles representative original recordings. Records patient charges for studies performed and forwards charge slips for billing. Monitors patient conditions, involving nurses and facilitating care as needed, and ensures inpatients are safely transported back to their units. Maintains cleanliness in testing rooms, prepares rooms with necessary equipment and supplies, and ensures proper care and sterilization of reusable electrodes. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs a full range of neurological tests, including nerve conductions and other neurophysiologic tests. Documents tests accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. Updates patient demographics in electronic medical charts and obtains accurate patient history. Prepares patients for exams, ensuring their safety, comfort, and modesty. Outlines procedures and tests to patients, addressing concerns or referring them to a nurse or physician if necessary. Determines appropriate electrodiagnostic studies based on requisitions and patient conditions, communicating with nurses and physicians as needed. Sets up and operates equipment, understanding electrophysiological devices and procedures, and adjusts techniques as requested by physicians.
