We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be preferably be based in New York/New Jersey metropolitan area, however open to talented individuals in other locations. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The role works within the Surety Center of Excellence team on servicing of new and renewal business.  You’ll respond to client requests, coordinate with internal teams, and keep Brokers and Supervisors updated on issues and progress. The position also helps identify client needs to inform product development, maintains client relationships, and trains new staff to ensure smooth team operations. Depending on experience, you may review bond and banking documents, interpret agreements of indemnity, and analyze financial statements using industry-specific metrics.

We will count on you to:

  • Support quoting, binding, and servicing of new and renewal accounts to ensure timely, accurate client service.

  • Prepare placement slips, cover notes, and policies; track payments and assist with premium collection.

  • Assist in data preparation for reinsurance placement submission packages.

  • Keep Senior Brokers informed of issues, progress, and key developments on a regular basis.

  • Help identify client needs and contribute to product development feedback for management.

  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships to improve service and retention.

  • Train new staff, monitor workflow, and assist in process improvements to ensure smooth team operations.

  • Prepare benchmarking and peer analysis related to reinsurance programs.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field.

  • Strong technical skills with advanced Excel proficiency and comfort working with large data sets—able to build reports and perform analytical tasks independently.

  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Analytical background: candidates from accounting firms are welcome. Must be computer‑adept and comfortable learning industry specifics.

All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $66,500 to $120,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
