Job Description

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager Environment, you'll lead and support a team of environmental professionals while partnering with operational leaders across St Ives Gold Mine.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced environmental professional looking to broaden their leadership capability and influence site-wide environmental performance.
You'll drive environmental compliance, rehabilitation and strategic initiatives while developing people, improving systems, and creating lasting environmental outcomes across multiple underground and open pit operations.
Up to six months' free, company-provided accommodation may be available for eligible candidates from under-represented groups (for example, women in mining and Indigenous Australians) relocating to Kambalda for permanent roles.
Accommodation includes basic furnishings and utilities and is subject to availability and housing policy, with support available to assist with transitioning to a lease after the initial six-month period. Eligibility and final terms will be discussed during the recruitment process.

What You'll Do
- Lead, coach and develop environmental team members and contractors to achieve safe and high-performing outcomes
- Provide leadership support and act for the Manager Environment when required, including representation on the Site Leadership Team
- Drive environmental compliance, approvals, rehabilitation planning and closure activities across the operation
- Build capability within the team through mentoring, coaching and knowledge sharing
- Foster strong relationships with operational teams, regulators and external stakeholders
What You'll Bring
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science (or equivalent) and a current manual driver's licence
- Strong knowledge of Western Australian environmental legislation, ISO14001 and environmental management systems
- Experience in rehabilitation planning, environmental compliance, approvals and environmental data analysis within mining or heavy industry
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders, solve complex problems and drive continuous improvement
- A growth mindset, with strong communication, responsibility and relationship-building skills
