Senior Manager, Academic Relations
Position Summary
This position requires you to develop and deliver a test recognition program for the CELPIP across higher education institutions in Canada and internationally and work to increase CELPIP volumes for admissions purposes. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering business development initiatives for Prometric and driving bookings/revenues to achieve annual targets. These initiatives include establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, which includes, but is not limited, to:
Post-secondary school registrars, admissions officers, and recruitment officers
Education & immigration consultants, agents, and advisors
Guidance counselors and organizations that support post-secondary admissions
Other organizations that support post-secondary admissions and language testing
EAP school preparation program representatives and recruitment officers
This position reports to the Vice President, Revenue, Language Proficiency Assessments
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be expected to:
Help to establish sales goals for new business activities and report on their success and impact
Develop and execute a tactical plan across Canadian higher education institutions with the aim of securing the highest level of endorsement/use/status of the CELPIP
Build and manage relationships with admissions offices, international offices and other university leaders to secure the highest level of awareness and endorsement for the CELPIP
Using a mix of sales and influencing skills, convince university and college relationships of the benefits of the CELPIP.
Expand CELPIP brand awareness and understanding with key external stakeholders including education associations & networks in Canada and internationally
Work with the Prometric marketing and Business development teams to showcase the CELPIP at industry conferences, forums and events in Canada and internationally
Direct workshops and seminars for universities, colleges, industry organizations on English language testing
Keep informed about developments within the higher education sector in Canada and with competitor activity
Oversee and manage relationships through scheduled and regular follow ups
Manage a prospect list with estimates of impact and success over time
Use data to inform and contribute to CELPIP growth strategies in collaboration with the Vice President, Revenue, Language Proficiency Assessments
Tactics will include:
Establishing, building, and expanding relationships with existing and potential clients (i.e., end-user clients and partner organizations)
Delivering presentations to communicate and sell new and changing products, features, benefits, and offerings
Monitoring market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, sales, etc.
Ensuring client satisfaction levels are maintained and increased appropriately through proactive problem-solving and high engagement
Conducting client meetings, demonstrations, and other client requests as required
Conducting ongoing needs-analyses to determine appropriate services to meet client requirements
Managing expectations internally and externally and developing business solutions accordingly.
Striving to find and develop new business opportunities
Keeping clients apprised of new product functionality
Increasing brand loyalty and improving customer satisfaction
Attending industry-related conferences and events as required
RequirementsQualified candidates will possess the following
An undergraduate degree from an accredited university in an applicable field. A graduate degree will be considered an asset.
5+ years of experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with the Canadian and international education markets.
Familiarity with high stakes language proficiency testing.
Experience working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Other Requirements
Must be able to travel in Canada and internationally.
Salary: up to $105,000 CAD
