The Bettendorf Community School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher (Instructional Strategist II: ID) to support students with intellectual disabilities. Terms of Employment:
Contract

Salary:
$50,000+ (BA, 0�4, 1.0 FTE, 2025�2026 Salary Schedule)

Qualifications:

• Must have or be able to obtain a valid Iowa teaching license and endorsement
• Must be able to provide required I-9 documentation to verify eligibility to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience working with students with intellectual disabilities
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs and support individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Flexible, reliable, and team-oriented

Knowledge, Skills, and Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support for students with significant needs
• Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Implement and monitor IEP goals and accommodations
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Follow planned curriculum and adapt as needed to meet student goals
• Work under the supervision of building and special education leadership
