SUMMARY

The Program Development Manager will lead and support the development, implementation, and growth of priority programs and services across the organization, with a focus on Home-Enabling Supports and promoting greater independence for the people we support. This role will serve as both a project leader and ambassador for new initiatives, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance strategic goals and expand community impact. The ideal candidate combines strong project management, communication, and relationship-building skills with a passion for innovation in services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of the Program Development Manager will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the implementation, expansion, and ongoing development of Home-Enabling Supports services.
  • Promote independence and community inclusion by supporting innovative service models and individualized supports that enhance autonomy and reduce reliance on in-person staffing when appropriate.
  • Lead implementation of new programs and strategic initiatives. 
  • Ensure programs and initiatives align with OPWDD guidance, organizational standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams and monitor timelines, deliverables, and outcomes. 
  • Build relationships with community partners, referral sources, families, and stakeholders. 
  • Represent the organization in meetings, presentations, and outreach activities. 
  • Support marketing and promotion of new and existing programs and services. 
  • Identify opportunities for program growth and community engagement. 
  • Develop presentations, proposals, reports, and program materials. 
  • Monitor project progress and recommend process improvements. 
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and operational initiatives. 
  • Support data collection, reporting, and program evaluation efforts.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 2+ years of experience working within the I/DD field. 
  • Strong project coordination or program management experience.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to effectively promote programs and engage diverse stakeholders, including families, providers, and community partners.
  • Clinical or human services background in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience presenting to stakeholders or conducting community outreach preferred.
  • Experience supporting program growth or implementation preferred.
  • Passion for ADAPT's mission and demonstrates a commitment to the non-profit disability sector.

COMPENSATION: $65,000 - $75,000 Annually + Industry-Leading Benefits!
