The Sourcing Specialist – Buying/Procurement supports strategic and operational sourcing activities for LT16 turbine technology projects. This role plays a key part in driving supplier identification, qualification, and contracting strategies to ensure cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and alignment with business objectives.
You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and Global Procurement teams to enable successful project execution while supporting localization and supplier development initiatives.
As a Sourcing Specialist – Buying/Procurement, you will be responsible for:
Executing sourcing strategies for LT16 turbine components, modules, and related services aligned with project timelines and cost targets
Identifying, evaluating, and qualifying new suppliers based on technical capability, quality, and delivery performance
Leading RFQs, bid evaluations, and supplier negotiations to achieve optimal commercial outcomes
Collaborating with Engineering and Project teams to ensure supplier alignment with technical specifications and requirements
Supporting localization and supplier development initiatives, particularly in key growth regions
Driving contract development and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
Monitoring supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, cost) and implementing corrective actions
Managing sourcing-related risks, including supply disruptions and capacity challenges
Maintaining accurate sourcing data in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent) and supporting reporting and analytics needs
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sourcing processes and cycle times

To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field
Have 3+ years of sourcing or procurement experience, preferably in industrial, energy, or turbomachinery sectors
Demonstrate experience in supplier qualification, RFQ processes, and contract negotiations
Possess strong understanding of technical procurement environments (e.g., rotating equipment, castings, machining, assemblies)
Be able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Showcase strong stakeholder management skills in cross-functional and global environments
Have strong analytical capabilities, including cost analysis and supplier performance tracking
Be familiar with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or equivalent
Demonstrate excellent communication skills in English
Preferred qualifications include:
Experience with localization strategies and regional supply chain development
Knowledge of compliance requirements such as local content regulations and trade compliance
Experience working in project-based sourcing environments (EPC, new product introduction, or field services)
Familiarity with digital tools such as Power BI or advanced Excel analytics
Experience in supplier risk management and resilience planning
