Job Description

Extended School Year - Non-Certified Instructor 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

The following job duties and responsibilities are essential functions of the Extended School Year

non-certified instructor, in addition to any duties as may be assigned by the building lead or program director for the duration of the program:

  • Implement all components of the NHPS Extended School Year Service.
  • Supervise students as assigned in IEP.
  • Maintain all required data and record-keeping for summer programming, including a summative student work sample portfolio.
  • Instruct students in a classroom setting and foster a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Monitor and record student attendance.
  • Determine and implement classroom management procedures and communicate documented student incidents to building leader.
  • Administer mandated assessments and maintain documentation of student progress.
  • Maintain professional relationships with building lead, curriculum lead, parents, students, co-workers and other stakeholders.
  • Adhere to established laws, policies, rules and regulations, including those policies and procedures adopted by NHPS
  • Ability to effectively use technology to deliver instruction, communicate with stakeholders and be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all staff and students.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using written and oral communication skills and use effective, positive interpersonal skills

*Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher, or NHPS substitute experience

*Compensation: $17.50  per hour

Preference will be given to applicants who have worked previously in ESY
