Job Description
Essential Job Function
- Performs routine and special exams with adherence to established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose to as low as reasonably achievable to safeguard patient and optimize diagnostic quality.
- Maintains exam productivity within established benchmarks to ensure efficient use of time and resources while delivering timely and accurate results.
- Completes all exams and documentation in CHL and PACS to maintain comprehensive patient records and facilitate efficient access to medical information for informed decision-making.
- Identifies all charges associated with studies in a consistent and accurate manner for accurate billing and reimbursement to ensure fair compensation for healthcare services rendered.
- Addresses errors and resolves issues related to the final product being sent to PACS to maintain integrity of patient data and medical images, thus enabling accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Uses Two for Two to accurately identify patients, follows procedures to avoid laterality errors and eliminate falls to promote overall patient wellbeing.
- Follows AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, and Thank You) communication framework with patients to anticipate, meet, and exceed their expectations and create an overall positive care environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program
Experience
- Required: 0-1 year, Healthcare - Diagnostic Technologist
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Radiologic Technologist-Dx (ARRT (R)) and Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist (CBDT) through International Society for Clinical Densitometry or Registered in Bone Densitometry (RT-R-BD) through the ARRTBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
