Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Intern to join our global specialty chemical organization. This role is ideal for someone passionate about quality management, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within a manufacturing or chemical production environment.
You will work closely with the Quality team to support key initiatives that ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and compliance.

What will you be doing?

As a Quality Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of quality assurance and quality control. Your responsibilities may include:

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Assist in maintaining and updating quality documentation, SOPs, and controlled records.
  • Support audits (internal, customer, and regulatory) by preparing materials, gathering evidence, and documenting findings.
  • Help ensure compliance with quality standards such as ISO 9001, Responsible Care, and company-specific policies.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Conduct data collection, entry, and analysis for key quality metrics and performance indicators.
  • Help prepare quality reports and dashboards for management review.
  • Participate in investigations of non-conformances, deviations, or customer complaints and support root cause analysis.

Quality Control Support

  • Assist QC laboratories with routine checks, sample preparation, and results logging (where applicable and appropriate).
  • Support calibration and maintenance tracking of equipment.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to Lean, Six Sigma, or process optimization initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across quality processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work alongside teams in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D, and EHS to ensure product and process quality.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and improvement workshops.

Who are You?

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related scientific/technical field.
  • Strong academic record with an interest in quality systems, laboratory techniques, or manufacturing operations.
  • No prior full-time experience required; however, internships, lab work, or project experience related to quality or process improvement is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of quality principles, analytical methods, or industry standards is beneficial but not required (training will be provided).

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Comfortable learning quality management systems (QMS), laboratory information systems (LIMS), or data analysis tools.

  • Communication: Able to convey information clearly in both written and verbal forms.
  • Collaboration: Works effectively within teams and across different functions.
  • Proactiveness: Shows a willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.
