Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for ensuring production and facility equipment is working at all times. He/she will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all equipment. He/she will follow preventive maintenance schedules along with existing protocol including building maintenance. Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies: P erforms record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows safety regulations General knowledge required in mechanics (gears, bearings, pulleys, belts, etc.), pneumatics and electric drives. Effectively perform various duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. Maintain inventory of repair pa rts and supplies. Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance service. Provides emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and conducts scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Performs mechanic skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues, replace, or repair parts, test, and make necessary adjustments. Will use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties. Ability to comply with all safety regulations and maintains a clean and orderly work area. Must possess the ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures including safety guidelines and practices. All other tasks as assigned.
