WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Deputy Division Director performs highly advanced (senior-level) managerial work providing direction and guidance in strategic operations and planning for the Business Operations Division. Work involves assisting the Division Director in leading and overseeing the nine current departments of the division: Procurement & Contract Services, Cybersecurity, Risk & Security Management, Infrastructure Services, Document Services, Training & Development, Customer Care, Conference Planning and Human Resources. This role involves establishing the strategic plan, goals, and objectives; developing policies, procedures, and guidelines; establishing priorities, standards, and measurement tools for determining progress in meeting goals; coordinating and evaluating program activities and business functions; and reviewing and approving budgets. You will supervise the work of others and work under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:
- Direct activities and/or business functions of the Business Operations Division and its departments.
- Oversee preparation of departmental budgets, assist in preparation of the divisional budget, and review and approve major expenditures; ensure that requirements of funding sources are met.
- Oversee the collection, organization, analysis, and preparation of management, productivity, and financial reports.
- Identify potential areas needing improvement, and with a team, develop and implement techniques for business transformation or process improvement, performance measures and metrics, and re-evaluation strategies.
- Provide direction on development of goals, major projects, and action plans with schedules; directs evaluation activities.
- Oversee development of policies, procedures, and guidelines; monitor compliance; and engage in substantive re-evaluation and revision.
- Represent the division in internal and external meetings.
- Review results of special investigations, audits, research studies, forecasts, and modeling exercises to provide direction and guidance on taking action.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
YOU QUALIFY WITH:
- Six years of full-time experience in the oversight and direction of an agency program; or in strategic planning and policy development and implementation, four years of which must have been in an administrative management or supervisory capacity.
- Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH:

-Experience with one or more of the following types of budget: a salary budget of not less than $1 million, an operational budget, and/or a capital or non-capital facilities budget.
