Key Responsibilities
- You’ll be expected to consistently produce a high volume of well-composed and technically sound images that meet our brand standards. Whether working with natural light or studio setups, your ability to adapt and deliver exceptional results is key. Guest engagement is at the heart of this role — we want every photo session to be fun, relaxed, and memorable.
- In addition to photography duties, you’ll support the PhotoStudio program by encouraging bookings and explaining the services offered. You’ll also assist in the photo gallery and shop, helping guests select and purchase their images while promoting additional products and services. Sales skills and product knowledge are essential, as is maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked retail space.
- You’ll be responsible for the care and proper use of company-issued equipment, ensuring everything is maintained to the highest standards. Professional appearance is also important, wearing the correct uniform, name badge, and Cruise pin, along with excellent personal grooming, is expected at all times.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Previous experience as a cruise photographer highly desirable.
- Degree in photography preferred, but most types of college certificates in photography are acceptable. MUST be able to provide proof of education and verifiable documentation showing what courses were completed and what the final grades were.
- Hands on experience in professional photography is preferred and must be documented and provable:
- A website or on-line portfolio that showcases the candidates work is preferred.
- All work MUST be verifiable as their own original work.
- A printed portfolio (in case a face-to-face interview is required) is preferred, and must be verifiable as the candidate’s original work.
- Minimum of two years of event, portrait or wedding photography experience, including experience shooting in large event settings.
- Demonstrated experience using professional-grade DSLR equipment and accessories
- Demonstrated experience with studio lighting equipment, light meters and accessories preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced Windows or Mac-based computer skills, Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or similar types of programs.
- Photo Equipment: Nikon DSLR systems, Nikon Flash Systems, Hensel & Godox Studio Flash Systems, and related accessories. Fuji Frontier, Noritsu, and Epson commercial grade printing equipment experience preferred.
Personality: Personable communicator with outstanding social skills and a warm, friendly, and engaging personality. Ability to continuously surprise and delight guests throughout their cruise experience. Commitment to establish and maintain courteous and professional working relationships in a diverse cultural environment.
