EVS Associate III Floor Tech
Job Description
Position Summary
Provides environmental cleaning services. Responsible to maintain the facility in a sanitary, neat, attractive and safe condition at all times. Responsible to maintain the floors running heavy cleaning equipment, walls and baseboards in a clean manner including stripping and refinishing, carpet cleaning, and burnishing.
- Sanitizes all surfaces of the facility using a germicidal cleaner.
- Performs dust mop and mopping all tile floors. Performs burnishing of floors.
- Performs carpet cleaning and vacuuming.
- Strips and refinishes floors.
- Removes infectious and non-infectious waste.
- Performs project cleaning in designated areas.
- Cleans walls, doors, and baseboards, picks up trash and delivers linen/laundry.
- Maintains accurate records including discharges, pager sign-out sheets, cart sign-out sheets, and Kronos corrections.
- Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
- Special Skills
- Knowledge of floor care equipment.
- Ability to read in English to follow oral and/or written instructions.
- Ability to prioritize work.
- Must have good customer service skills.
- Preferred Requirements
- Education: High school or equivalent preferred to enable individual to follow oral or written instruction in English.
- Experience: Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
