Job Title: Complex Director, Revenue Management
Departments: Revenue Management
Supervision Exercised: Not applicable
Supervision Received: Vice President of Revenue Management
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 Years hotel revenue management experience
- Minimum of 2 years of hotel revenue management experience supporting multiple properties
- Experience and exposure with Hilton, Marriott and/or Hyatt revenue managemet systems required
- Exceptional knowledge in Microsoft Office tools
- Strategic, Analytical, Creative capabilities
- College degree (BS/BA) preferred
JOB DUTIES
Key responsibilities of the Complex Director of Revenue Management position include:
- Support a portfolio of 2–4 hotels, depending on size and complexity
- Directly manage revenue strategy for Hilton and/or Marriott full- and select-service hotels, ensuring optimal group and transient business mix within the five-year forecast
- Monitor short-term decisions that impact occupancy, ADR, and rooms profit goals across the 53-week planning period
- Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly revenue strategy touchpoints, including RevMax, Sales Strategy Meetings, property visits, and ongoing collaborative discussions
- Analyze monthly and weekly STR reports, interpret performance changes, and apply insights to future strategy; identify trends and communicate focus areas to the corporate support team
- Develop and share best practices that benefit the broader portfolio
- Evaluate industry trends, market conditions, and economic indicators, communicating actionable insights to corporate leadership and field teams
- Collaborate with Marketing to generate demand during need periods; identify strategic e-blasts and campaigns that deliver measurable impact
- Lead the monthly forecast review process for the hotel with the goal of delivering accuracy of +/- 5%
- Support the Annual Operating Plan
- Development and execution of a strategic plan annually for the department
- Build and maintain relationships with brand partners, ownership groups, third-party distribution partners, and industry organizations (HSMAI, universities, etc.)
- Conduct displacement analysis and guide decision-making for group and transient business
- Provide high level direction on annual RFP process for corporate negotiated accounts
- Train Sales, Front Office, and Revenue teams on revenue management principles, system usage, and best practices
- Ensure optimal utilization of brand revenue management tools and technologies
