Job Description

Make your mark for patients

We are looking for a MSAT Biologics Data Analyst who is curious, collaborative and proactive to join us in our Biologics Manufacturing Science and Technology team, based in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium.

About the role

You will help improve efficiency and visibility across commercial manufacturing and investigation activities by automating data workflows and connecting data sources into one end-to-end view. You will build digital tools and prescriptive analytics to strengthen process performance by monitoring across sites, detect emerging risks and deviations earlier, and support data-driven decision-making during investigations, lifecycle management and continuous improvement.

Who you’ll work with

You will be working in a team that supports biologics process teams across drug substance and drug product activities, partnering closely with colleagues involved in process investigations and ongoing improvements. You will also collaborate with information technology partners and data-focused roles across departments to share ideas, find synergies and co-develop solutions that can be reused across the organisation.

What you’ll do

  • Create standard templates to capture process data consistently for manufacturing science and technology process teams.
  • Build lightweight automation tools that reduce repetitive manual data preparation using programming languages such as Python and R.
  • Analyse operational data and develop scripts that support performance tracking and continuous improvement.
  • Prototype algorithms using artificial intelligence, machine learning and natural language processing to support automation proofs of concept.
  • Automate pre-population of process and study protocols and reports using content management systems.
  • Create visual and analytical outputs that support surveillance, study oversight, risk trend detection and historical analysis and support adoption through training and guidance.

Interested?

For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

  • Master’s degree in a relevant quantitative or life-science field.
  • At least two years’ experience in data analysis, programming or automation in a life-sciences setting.
  • Proficiency in programming and automation (for example Python, R, or Statistical Analysis System software).
  • Ability to create data visualizations and dashboards (for example Qlik Sense or Microsoft Power BI).
  • Strong capability in working with databases and generating reports; able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear communicator who enjoys collaborating across cultures and time zones and can mentor colleagues when rolling out new tools.
