Position Title: Learning Business Partner

Job Summary:

The Learning Business Partner will be responsible in localizing the learning strategy of the bank into the sectors/business units that they are assigned to. This role will serve as the main liaison of the HR function to the business and will ensure an appropriate and fit-for-purpose learning agenda is laid out alongside the People agenda created by the HRBPs. This role will support the Head of Learning & Development in applying a competence assurance and development approach in addressing the learning needs of the business unit they support.

Role Exposure:

Learning Management & Business Partnership

  • Facilitate the Learning process with the business to develop an annual learning agenda.
  • Curate a coherent learning experience for the end users in the bank by leveraging different functions within the L&D team (i.e. Learning Portfolio and Learning Delivery).
  • Partner with the HRBP and the business units to deliver learning needs analysis in a consistent and standard manner.
  • Address and provide guidance on immediate learning requests; triage learning requests to assess which interventions will be appropriate (not always relying on training to address a need)
  • Actively partner with OE team to ensure alignment on talent management and development practices.

Learning Portfolio

  • Drive the Learning Review and Portfolio review process to influence Learning Portfolio Managers into updating and revising learning content, as necessary.
  • Translate business problems into learning opportunities, where applicable, and influence the portfolio to shift alongside the business direction

Learning Delivery

  • Monitor the delivery of the learning agenda through a learning calendar in partnership with the Learning Delivery Team. Adjust the plan depending on new information/learning needs.
  • Leverage learning data and translate them into reports that can help the HRBPs and the business generate insights that will aid in improving capabilities within the bank.
  • Be a thought partner with the HRBPs in addressing concerns related to the People agenda; co-create immediate, non-content-specific interventions (LT workshops, team-building design) that will drive performance in the business.

Job Scope:

  • Learning budget for the function
  • From time to time, act as a training facilitator for certain programs developed by the bank.
