About the Role
Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and application services to ensure customer environments are highly available, scalable, and reliable. Collaborate with development, release, and application teams to deliver seamless infrastructure operations and continuous improvement.
This role exists to maintain operational stability, implement automation for repetitive tasks, and grow technical expertise in cloud operations and modern infrastructure practices.
What you will do
Deploy and configure servers and application software across environments using automation scripts and tools.
Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues to identify root causes and implement workarounds and permanent resolutions.
Provide escalation support for complex incidents escalated from the Service Delivery team, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
Utilize and improve existing tools and utilities to streamline troubleshooting and operational processes.
Ensure stability and availability of application components running on Azure cloud infrastructure.
Monitor infrastructure costs and identify opportunities to right-size servers and services for cost optimization.
Respond to monitoring alerts of application instability, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Set up and configure monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to provide operational visibility.
Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate troubleshooting and improve operational efficiency.
Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and troubleshooting procedures that support both Cloud Operations and Service Delivery teams.

Azure Cloud Platform
Provision, configure, and manage infrastructure in Azure
Understanding of Azure services: compute, storage, networking

Containerization & Configuration Management
Basic understanding of container concepts and Kubernetes
Configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible)
AI-Assisted Operations

Operating Systems & Web Servers
Linux and/or Windows server administration
Web server configuration and troubleshooting (IIS, Apache, Tomcat, or similar)

Set up, configure, and respond to monitoring and alerting systems
Basic performance troubleshooting and log analysis
What Success Looks Like
First 90 days
Independently resolve standard incidents with minimal escalation.
Demonstrate proficiency with core Azure services and deployment processes.
Effectively use monitoring tools and respond to alerts appropriately.
Build collaborative relationships with the Service Delivery team and understand common escalation patterns.
First 6 months
Contribute automation (a PowerShell script, n8n workflow, or AI-assisted process) that measurably improves deployment reliability or reduces manual toil.
Take ownership of a specific infrastructure component or service area.
Build strong working relationships across development, release, operations, and Service Delivery teams.
Effectively resolve escalated tickets with clear communication and knowledge transfer.
First year
Lead or significantly contribute to an optimization or automation initiative.
Demonstrate consistent reliability in incident response and infrastructure operations.
Mentor newer team members and share knowledge through documentation or training.
Identify patterns in escalated tickets and create solutions that reduce future escalations.
