Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients. VCA's core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, payment enablers and governments.
Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) is seeking a high-performing individual to join our consulting practice as a Manager for Commercial Money Movement Solutions (CMS) in the Central America and Caribbean (CARCAM) region. This role will be pivotal in driving high-impact consulting engagements focused on B2B payments, commercial flows, and value-added solutions across financial institutions, fintechs, and ecosystem partners.
The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of consulting projects that help clients optimize commercial payment flows, unlock new revenue streams, and accelerate adoption of digital money movement solutions (e.g., virtual cards, cross-border, AP/AR automation, RTP, and embedded finance use cases).
This individual will work closely with Issuing, Commercial Solutions, Fintech, and Sales teams, acting as a strategic partner to clients while leveraging Visa’s global best practices and assets to deliver measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver CMS-focused consulting engagements across CARCAM, supporting financial institutions and partners in scaling B2B payment solutions and commercial flows.
- Drive the VCA CMS strategy in the region, identifying and prioritizing growth opportunities in areas such as virtual cards, cross-border payments, SME digitization, and AP/AR automation.
- Partner with Issuers, Fintechs, Corporates, and Ecosystem players to design and implement solutions that enhance commercial money movement and reduce friction in payment processes.
- Translate client needs into actionable strategies and execution roadmaps, aligning initiatives with Visa’s Commercial Solutions priorities.
- Identify, structure, and close consulting opportunities, building a strong pipeline of CMS engagements across the region.
- Act as a trusted advisor to client executives, providing thought leadership on commercial payments, working capital optimization, and digital transformation.
- Develop data-driven insights and business cases to quantify opportunities (e.g., payment flow migration, yield optimization, cost efficiencies).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Risk, Data Science, and Innovation teams to deliver integrated and scalable solutions.
- Ensure effective execution and implementation follow-through, coordinating with internal teams and clients to capture value from recommendations.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring high-quality delivery, stakeholder alignment, and measurable outcomes.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
- 5 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- Ideally in quantitative field (e.g. engineering, economics, computer science, business administration, finance…).
- 5+ years’ experience working in the payments industry, preferably managing cards portfolios or relevant experience at payments management in consulting firms
- Demonstrated experience in strategy / management consulting; with proven project deliveries and expertise in consulting methodologies
- Project and sales management skills are a key requirement given that this role involves managing multiple projects with multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
- Executive presence including excellent communication and presentations skills, written and verbal, and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations
- Excellent client relationship management skills (on senior executive level and across all levels of an organization) and ability to develop a credible point of view on a variety of industry topics, acting as a trusted advisor and show thought leadership
- Demonstrated leadership, managerial and collaboration capabilities, particularly with those who are not direct reports as may be found in a matrixed organization
- Knowledge of payment schemes, including products, processes, acquirer lifecycle management
- Passionate, self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently.
