Job Description
- Responsible for planning and conducting independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
- Devise new approaches to problems and prepare or modify drawings, monitor work compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and TEP standards.
- Perform inspections on telecommunications sites from ground, rooftops, and raw land sites
- Prepare reports related to tower mappings and inspections.
- Prepare detailed construction drawings on collocation and raw land sites.
- Work with other engineering disciplines to determine specifications and designs
- Develop proficiency in equipment details for several clients
- Potential overflow into other areas of Engineering.
- Lean quickly on the job the various standards and guidelines for electrical work on Telecommunication sites. Experience in any of the following is helpful but not required:
- National Electrical Code (NEC)
- NFPA 780
- Motorola R56
- Ability to Independently produce arc fault calculations and labels at a professional level is required
- Prior experience in designing commercial-grade photovoltaic (PV) facilities would be an advantage, but is not required
- PE Licensure (Electrical) is required
- Knowledge of design and engineering techniques is required.
- Ability to travel to sites for inspections. Ability to pass MVR check and be insured under company policy
- Experience in working with multiple discipline projects within the telecommunication, residential, commercial or light/heavy industrial fields is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office.
Pay Range: $100,000 - $140,000 per year
