Job Summary
Nash Plumbing and Mechanical, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Service Plumber to perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on commercial plumbing systems. This role requires a strong understanding of various plumbing systems, a commitment to quality workmanship, and excellent customer service skills.
Job Responsibilities
* Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing system malfunctions in commercial settings, including water supply, drain, waste, and vent systems.
* Perform repairs and replacements of commercial plumbing fixtures, faucets, water heaters, backflow prevention devices, and other related equipment.
* Install new plumbing systems and components in commercial buildings, adhering to local codes and company standards.
* Conduct preventative maintenance on commercial plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
* Interpret blueprints, schematics, and plumbing diagrams to understand system layouts and perform work accurately.
* Utilize various plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively, including pipe wrenches, drain snakes, pipe cutters, and diagnostic tools.
* Maintain accurate records of services performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
* Communicate effectively with clients, explaining plumbing issues, proposed solutions, and cost estimates.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
* Participate in on-call rotations for emergency service as required.
* Train and mentor junior plumbers or apprentices as needed.
Job Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program is highly preferred.
* Valid Journeyman Plumber license in the state of [State, if applicable, otherwise remove].
* Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience as a commercial service plumber.
* Proven experience with various commercial plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary, storm, and gas lines.
* Strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations (e.g., UPC, IPC).
* Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and ascend ladders.
* Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
* OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
* Backflow prevention certification preferred.
