About the Opportunity
The Autoclave Operator sets up and operates autoclaves/ovens and auxiliary equipment to cure and bond metallic and non-metallic parts and assemblies in accordance with Team leader direction, Traveler information, work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
Please Note: The available work schedule consists of second-shift hours (4:00pm - 12:30am); however, training will take place during the first shift (7:30am - 4:00pm).
What You'll Do:
- Reviews SOPs, work instructions, Team leader direction and the Traveler to ensure compliance with specifications; verifies that prior process was properly completed and that quantities match; scans job into PROCIM to ensure compliance with specifications
- Reviews Process Analysis Log and signs off before starting shift
- Adjusts manual controls to regulate and activate autoclave power supply, colling system, and pressure gauges
- Monitors instruments, switches, records, and listens for warning signals during autoclave operation to ensure conformance to specifications
- Modifies and/or aborts process as required or needed
- Operator is responsible for checking autoclave cooling
- Signs off on the Traveler, logs out in ProCIM and moves finished parts to the next scheduled process
- Perform other duties as required
What You'll Bring:
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
- Ability to read and understand documents such as travelers, standard operating procedure, instructions, and safety rules in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
- Must be detailed oriented and self-motivated
- Must be able to remain focused with minor interruptions
- Time management, including good attendance and avoidance of regular tardiness
- Must be able to work overtime as required
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
- No experience is required
Please note that in addition to frequent standing and walking, the work environment requires lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds; as well as repetitive hand motion.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Regular Schedule is 2nd shift 4:00pm to 12:30am
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
