Senior Graphic designer

Job brief

We are looking for a senior graphic designer to create and manage digital and print designs for our marketing needs. The senior graphic designer's responsibilities include managing all graphic design tasks, refining projects and drafts, and generating creative ideas.

To be successful as a senior graphic designer, you should have extensive knowledge of graphic design, styles, and techniques. You should also have experience in implementing marketing campaigns. Ultimately, an excellent senior graphic designer will ensure that the design team promotes the vision of the company through high-quality graphic content.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all design projects, from conception to delivery
• Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics
• Review junior designers’ work to ensure high quality
• Refine images, fonts and layouts using graphic design software
• Apply typography techniques
• Generate ideas to portray concepts and advertise products/services
• Increase user friendliness in digital products
• Maintain brand consistency throughout all our marketing projects
• Liaise with marketing and design teams to ensure deadlines are met
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and tools

As well as being extremely driven and having a desire to develop your skill set and grow with this successful company, the ideal Motion Graphics Designer will have the following: 

• Proven work experience as a Senior Designer, Graphic Designer or similar role
• Portfolio of completed design projects
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
• Hands-on experience with image editing software, like Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator.
• Ability to solve an array of challenges through visual design. 
• Must be able to mediate creative problems to arrive at the best solution.
• Manage time effectively, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. 
• Detail-oriented individual who reviews his/her work carefully, quality control is key. 
• Self starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with a team. 
• Professional demeanor with high degree of comfort speaking with internal clients.
• Proficient in design software (e.g. InDesign and Balsamiq)
• Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colors, fonts and layouts.
• Attention to visual details.
• Ability to manage a team of junior graphic designers.
• Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team.
• Minimum experience of 3-5 years
• BSc degree in Design, Visual Arts or relevant field
