Baptist Health is seeking a motivated individual to join the Baptist team as a Health Unit Coordinator on the Med-Surg Unit. This Health Unit Coordinator role is a Full-Time Nights opportunity, working 36 hours per week with shifts of 7:00pm-7:00am and is located at Baptist Nassau in Fernandina Beach, FL.
We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have confidence working in a clerical role. Health Unit Coordinators (HUCs) are responsible for secretarial activities of the nursing unit.
Health Unit Coordinator Job Responsibilities:
- Answering call lights and phone calls promptly
- Ordering and taking inventory of unit supplies and equipment
- Maintaining patient chart folders
- Greeting and assisting all customers while adhering to service excellence principles
- Maintaining a neat and orderly nursing station
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Health Unit Coordinator Experience:
1-2 years of Experience working in a health care setting preferred
Education:
HSD required
Associate of Science preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
