Position Title: Maintenance Technician (Basic Repairs)
Job Type: Part-Time
Location: 6 Mykoly Pymonenka St., Kyiv, Ukraine
Requirements: The Candidate shall have at minimum:
Proven experience performing minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical outages and breakers.
Skilled in small furniture repairs, hardware adjustments, and fixture maintenance.
Must be reachable and able to respond to service requests within 24 hours.
Must pass Embassy security clearance.
Ability to create safe working environments and follow safety procedures.
Basic English communication preferred.
Duties: The candidate must:
Replace light bulbs in all indoor and outdoor fixtures; maintain a bulb inventory.
Perform minor electrical tasks such as troubleshooting outages and breaker trips.
Perform minor plumbing repairs including leaks, drain clearing, and fixture adjustments.
Conduct minor carpentry repairs: hinges, handles, chairs, shelves, baseboards, picture hanging, and window repairs.
Perform minor painting touch-ups where cleaning cannot remove stains.
Maintain tools, small parts, and replacement materials.
Report major system failures (A/C, water heaters, radiators) to POC-AH.
Support America House events when requested (with 48-hour notice).
Ensure safe work practices and proper use of PPE and tools.
