Senior Development Analyst

In this role, you will support a variety of development projects in the Western Canada region, including significant multi-family, office, industrial, retail, and mixed-use assets. The role will initially be focused on financial underwriting, market research and analysis, with direct involvement in specific projects, with a career path into full-time development management. You will work closely with senior team members throughout the full development cycle, from concept to completion, contributing to land acquisition, design, municipal approvals, construction, marketing, lease-up, and project handover activities.   RESPONSIBILITIES Support development underwriting through creation, updating, improving, and managing development proformas. Support the acquisition process through due diligence activities and development underwriting. Review and assess provincial and municipal planning initiatives, including proposed policy changes. Conduct market research and monitor industry trends. Collaborate with internal teams on business plans and approvals. Contribute to project design activities. Assist with securing municipal approvals including amendments, rezonings, permits, and regulatory requirements. Assist with management of consultants and contractors to ensure project schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met. Work with internal teams on project marketing and leasing activities Support execution activities with partners. Contribute to special projects as needed.   QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years’ experience in a related field. Post-secondary education in business, finance, real estate, economics, or related field. Passion for real estate, development, urban issues and design. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ability to create complex financial models. Understanding of real estate financial principles including investment returns. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated interest in commercial and multifamily real estate, design, urban development, and sustainability. Attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.   The base salary for this position is between $71,400.00 to $107,100.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
