Primary Job Duties
As a Recruitment and Planning Specialist, you’ll work directly with future SkyWest employees and will be able to educate them about all of the benefits of working at our industry leading airline. You’ll also be able to help current employees take advantage of new positions in the operation. - Assist in the selection and hiring processes, including sourcing candidates, coordinating advertising with vendors, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations
- Ensure compliant, data‑driven hiring practices and support strategic decision‑making
- Partner with hiring managers and departments to meet hiring needs, including managing all job postings and requirements
- Prioritize daily screening of applications and scheduling interviews
- Source, interview, and select candidates while forecasting hiring needs and identifying top talent
- Educate candidates and employees on SkyWest benefits, talking points, and bonus opportunities
- Leverage recruiting data to make recommendations for targeted recruitment efforts
- Oversee recruitment communications, including company recruitment email responses and candidate correspondence
- Use data and forecasting to support targeted sourcing strategies
- Collaborate closely with the Recruitment team to support and fulfill duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR, or a related field
- Experience supporting full‑cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection
- Ability to prioritize daily applicant screening and interview scheduling in a fast‑paced environment
- Working knowledge of compliant, data‑driven hiring practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to educate candidates and employees on benefits and employment‑related information
- Experience managing recruitment communications, including candidate email correspondence
- Analyze recruiting data and support targeted sourcing efforts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working in an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Collaborate effectively with the Recruitment team and support duties as assigned
- Commitment to professionalism and representing the company positively.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of employment laws
- Background in candidate sourcing
- Interviewing and selection experience
- Familiarity with SkyWest job requirements
- Aviation experience
Physical and Other Requirements
- Possess a valid, unrestricted state-issued driver's license
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Travel to recruiting events is required
- Able to lift up to 30lbs
- Not a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position
