WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide support in administering Hyundai Motor America’s benefits programs, including but not limited to healthcare insurance, retirement programs, life insurance, leave of absence administration, workers’ compensation, employee assistance program, wellness programs, and flexible spending accounts. 

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Assist in administration of 401(k), pension plan, and healthcare programs.
  • Maintain Benefits administration system, including life events, evidence of insurability approvals, reporting, etc.
  • Lead new hire benefits orientation.
  • Manage Leaves of Absence program, working closely with HR Business Partner team and 3rd party administrator.
  • Administer Hyundai’s Dependent Care and Healthcare Flexible Spending Account programs.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding Hyundai’s benefits programs.
  • Review monthly premiums and supporting reports.
  • Submit Benefits invoices in Finance system for payment processing.
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims.
  • Provide support for Open Enrollment, including testing of system, communications, presentation deck.
  • Work with carriers/broker/employee on employee problem resolution.
  • Complete annual benefits surveys.
  • Assist with the employee monthly well-being newsletter and other Benefits communications.
  • Assist with administration and enhancement of wellness program, including the annual health fair. 
  • Provide administrative support to Benefits Department.
  • Assist in other HR-related projects, as assigned.
  • This is a support position, focused on delivering day to day tasks and analyses with a degree of autonomy while receiving general instructions and supervision.
  • Exercise of discretion and independent judgment directly related to significant management and/or general business operations is not required. 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Four or more years of Human Resources experience, of which at least two years should be directly related in Benefits.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, results-driven environment.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity well and change course when needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidential nature of employee information and records.
  • CEBS designation preferred

WHAT HYUNDAI CAN OFFER YOU

  • Compensation Range: $63,800 - $88,000 annual base salary
  • Monthly Hyundai/Genesis vehicle lease allowance (including insurance and maintenance)
  • Holiday Pay - the company shuts down with pay between Christmas and New Years.
