Specific Responsibilities Would Include

Position Description:

The SVP Operations will support the Company in the development and execution of a focused and prioritized business global growth plan. The SVP Operations will serve as a strategic and key business partner to the EVP of Operations supporting various divisions and brands within the Centric portfolio. In addition to serving as the key global operations leader to the business (making sure shared services are in place to support the division), a major focus for this role will be analyzing existing businesses operations and determining opportunities for to drive process improvement, operational efficiencies, and centralizing or decentralizing certain functions and maximizing their effectiveness. The SVP Operations will be a catalyst for growth and will help operationalize new initiatives/acquisitions for the company. He/she will work closely with the operations teams, division head and key country operational executives in developing and implementing strategic initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the Division’s Distribution, Logistics, Customer Service, Order Management, and Business Operations responsible for delivering monthly and quarterly sales and margin goals.
  • Drive operational excellence and implement best practices to achieve world-class supply chain, warehousing, forward and reverse logistics operations that aligns with the business. Manage supplier relationships and strategy for all suppliers.
  • Collaborate with the business to ensure all regulatory and compliance measures are met within company and global guidelines as well as import/export requirements.
  • Deliver business results by working cross-functionally with brand operations executives and back office shared services.
  • Evaluate back-end operations. Develop and execute a strategy to run more efficiently. Utilize the Global platform.
  • Partner with the Technology team to develop procedures to ensure integrity of ERP system and databases both efficiently and effectively.
  • Partner with Sourcing leads to develop cohesive processes and procedures that supports the business strategy.
  • Integrate new businesses.
  • Partner with TSG and Distribution leaders to increase customer service, streamline order execution processes and establish distribution processes to best support the businesses.
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure revenue and budget objectives are met, expanded on, and actively follow through on them.
  • Build credibility both within the group and with all external constituencies/partners.
  • Establish processes to support change and focus on continuous and sustainable improvement.
  • Provides leadership, supports, motivates, directs and retains high-caliber staff.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • 15+ years of operations experience. Wholesale experience is a must. Retail experience is a plus (at a minimum, will have a solid understanding of 4-wall retail). International experience will also be a plus.
  • A strong operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Someone who can be both strategic and tactical as the business dictates.
  • Have experience as a senior level or head of operations with a proven track record leading and directing a sizeable wholesale apparel or accessories import manufacturing business to profitability and delivering promised results.
  • Flexible and adaptable. Amenable to looking at existing processes/standardizations and future solutions in different ways. Will not be rigid in approach.
  • Innovative in approach. Bring new ideas and different ways of addressing the business needs. A demonstrated ability to drive organizational change, identify opportunities and effectively implement new ideas.
  • A strategic thinker who produces short-term results in concert with long-term business objectives. The ability to quickly identify and prioritize goals and objectives for the organization and ensure they are executed as planned.
  • A demonstrated track record of successfully achieving and exceeding cost, accuracy and service goals.
  • A flexible hands-on team player who strategically partners with all levels to successfully execute change in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong leadership skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate a vision and then inspire and motivate others into action. A polished and professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • A demonstrated track record of successfully building and aligning teams and leading large scale projects.
  • Able to develop, coach, motivate and inspire a team that embraces accountability and achieves results.
  • Highly self-motivated and action orientated, with a strong professional presentation.
  • Credible, self-confident, collaborative and able to build relationships across all brands and throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail and consistent follow- through and strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • An understanding of the complete supply chain process.
  • Work well in a matrixed, shared service organization.
  • A high degree of integrity and ability to work independently.
  • A skilled listener by nature who respects other’s viewpoints but is not hesitant to express his or her own while building consensus through the decision-making process.
  • College Degree required

Salary Range: $340,000 - $360,000

 

At Centric Brands, we believe our people are our greatest asset, and we seek to structure competitive compensation offers to ensure that we are able to attract and retain the best talent. Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
