Are you passionate about using data and technology to drive meaningful business impact? We are seeking an Data & Applications Engineer to support and enhance critical Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting and application capabilities across the organization.
As part of the ESG engineering team, you will help drive the transition of key technical capabilities from external vendors to an in-house engineering model, taking ownership of reporting solutions, business applications, and operational support activities. You will work across a diverse portfolio of ESG products and partner closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines for collecting, processing, and integrating diverse ESG datasets from various internal and external sources.
Develop and deploy AI/ML models and algorithms to analyze ESG data, identify trends, predict outcomes, and generate actionable insights for reporting and decision-making.
Implement and manage data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, integrity, security, and compliance with relevant ESG standards and regulations.
Collaborate with ESG domain experts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
Build and optimize data models and schemas to support ESG reporting, analytics, and application development.
Evaluate and integrate new data technologies and tools to enhance our ESG data infrastructure and capabilities.
Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines, models, and applications.
Provide technical expertise and support for ESG data-driven projects and initiatives.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
Extensive experience in Data Engineering, including designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines using tools like Python and SQL.
Proficiency in PowerBI, PowerApps, Azure Databricks.
Demonstrated expertise in Data Management principles, including data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data warehousing concepts.
Proficiency in database technologies and data modeling.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) is highly desirable.
