The Opportunity
Do you get a kick out of transforming data chaos into clarity? If you love making data easier to find, organize, and use—and enjoy helping teams unlock its true potential—you might be just the data wrangler we’re looking for!
Consumer Pulse is at the heart of consumer intelligence. We work with rich, large-scale datasets (500 million+ signals) including news media, social media, consumer complaints, product reviews, and more. As a Data Asset Manager, you will ensure these data assets are trusted, well-described, easy to find, and fit for use—so product, engineering, analytics, and research teams can move faster with confidence.
Our vision is to empower EVERYONE to create superior products by transforming listening signals into FRICTIONLESS & ACTIONABLE intelligence. This role is central to that promise: you will strengthen data integrity, accessibility, and usability across the Consumer Pulse portfolio, enabling reliable insights and better asset utilization end-to-end.
Responsibilities
Consumer Pulse is a portfolio of AI-powered products ranging from Brandwatch (Social Media Management / Listening / News), Voice of Consumer (Product Reviews / Consumer Complaints), SocialLens (Advanced AI Insight Extractor), Digital Consumer Testing (Consumer Surveys), and more. The Data Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization, management, and optimization of Consumer Pulse data assets—ensuring data is discoverable, well-governed, high quality, and usable for downstream products, analytics, and decision-making.
You will work closely with Data Analysts, Product Managers, Data Engineering, and external vendors to understand data needs and workflows, improve data stewardship practices, and increase the value and adoption of our datasets across the portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and implement data management strategies for Consumer Pulse data assets (news, social, reviews, complaints, surveys, and derived datasets).
Ensure proper cataloging, tagging, and metadata management so datasets are easy to discover, understand, and use by users and AI agents.
Monitor and improve data quality and integrity (validation checks, issue triage, root-cause partnership), implementing corrective measures as needed.
Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures, including ownership, stewardship, definitions, and documentation standards.
Partner with privacy, security, and legal stakeholders to ensure compliance with data privacy and protection requirements, and to operationalize controls.
Collaborate with product, and analytics teams to enable data-driven initiatives and improve dataset adoption and utilization.
Develop and maintain data lifecycle processes (onboarding, versioning, retention, archiving, deletion) aligned to product and compliance needs.
Oversee data asset tooling and stay current on best practices and emerging technologies.
Provide training, documentation, and support to data producers and analysts on standards, tools, and repeatable data management practices.
Serve as a point of contact for data-related inquiries, coordinating issue resolution and continuous improvements across stakeholders.
Additional responsibilities may include:
Define and maintain common taxonomies, business glossaries, and dataset “golden record” definitions for key signals and dimensions.
Partner with engineering teams to improve data observability (lineage, freshness, completeness, SLAs/SLOs) and to reduce recurring data incidents.
Support vendor and source onboarding by documenting data contracts, ingestion expectations, and quality acceptance criteria.
Contribute to roadmaps by translating data risks (quality gaps, compliance needs, technical debt) into prioritized backlog items.
Work with Analysts to build lightweight reporting and dashboards to communicate asset health, adoption, and value to stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvements to onboarding documentation and enablement materials to reduce time-to-first-insight for new users.
Support audits and reviews by maintaining clear evidence of data controls, documentation, and stewardship processes.
