Summary of the position
The Investment Strategy and Analysis Lead will play a critical role in supporting the Principal and Senior Strategic Advisor. This individual will leverage their expertise to evaluate and analyze investment opportunities for Sentinel clients. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking, investment research, and communication skills to help shape client portfolios and deliver exceptional investment insights.
Responsibilities
Investment Analysis and Review
- Conduct in-depth due diligence on potential investments, including equities, alternatives, and other asset classes -assessing risk, return potential and strategic fit.
Development of Investment Themes
- Research and develop forward-looking investment themes and strategies tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate with the Research Team to generate new ideas and opportunities aligned with emerging market trends and evolving client goals.
Client Reporting and Communication
- Produce high-quality memos, reports, and presentations on investment opportunities, themes, and strategies into clear, actionable insights for clients.
- Clearly communicate complex investment ideas and recommendations in a concise, client-friendly manner.
Single Stock Position Analysis
- Analyze and provide actionable insights on single-stock positions held by Sentinel clients.
- Develop strategies to optimize client portfolios, balancing risk and return objectives.
Sourcing New Investment Opportunities
- Highly valued Research Team member asked to identify and evaluate emerging opportunities across various markets and asset classes.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders to stay informed on the latest market trends and investment opportunities.
Required Skills/Experience
- 5+ years of experience in investment analysis, portfolio management, or a closely related role ideally serving Sentinel clients.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and equity valuation modeling
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality client-facing materials.
- Solid understanding of global markets, investment strategies, and asset classes.
- Collaborative mindset with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and financial modeling tools
