We are seeking a talented individual to join our WorkCare Services team at JLT- Public Sector, a business of Marsh. This role will be based in Perth. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The Injury Management Assistant role supports the WorkCare Portfolio, which includes various claims like Workers Compensation, Bushfire Personal Injury, Personal Accident, Journey Injury, and Travel policies.
You will provide essential administrative support to ensure high-quality claims and injury management services. You will work collaboratively with LGIS members, service providers, and the LGIS claims and injury management team to achieve cost-effective outcomes. The role helps promote the best return-to-work results for injured workers and the Scheme. Additionally, the assistant supports Injury Management Advisors, the WorkCare Services manager, and the broader claims team as needed, with other duties assigned occasionally.
We will count on you to:
Provide administrative support to ensure effective management of claims within the WorkCare portfolio.
Support the Manager, WorkCare Services with quarterly data analysis of claims trends to enhance prevention, wellbeing, and injury management services.
Assist Injury Management Advisors with administrative and compliance tasks to ensure timely communications and effective claims management.
Manage workplace rehabilitation provider referrals and compliance tasks in line with WorkCover WA regulations.
Contribute to positive stakeholder relationship management with rehabilitation providers, legal panels, treatment providers, and other relevant parties.
Support member education initiatives including seminars, reporting, and claims inductions or reviews.
Handle council enquiries efficiently and maintain regular, constructive communications with internal and external stakeholders.
Produce relevant reports with assistance from the Program Services Coordinator and Injury Management team.
Engage in ongoing training and development, including claims and injury management courses and CPD sessions.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and Scheme KPIs.
What you need to have:
Strong administrative skills with a focus on process efficiency, data analysis, and task prioritization.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
Computer literacy, including intermediate skills in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Self-motivation, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Knowledge and experience in insurance claims, ideally with Workers Compensation and injury management exposure
Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures and adapting to new systems.
Demonstrated initiative and discretion in managing confidential information.
Understanding of the Workers Compensation Scheme and related regulations.
