Description: The Imaging Equipment Team Lead directs and coordinates the work of the Imaging Equipment Specialist who repair, calibrate, maintain, and perform safety testing of all types of medical imaging technologies, devices, instruments, and systems. Supports and collaborates with technicians on repairing calibrating, and the maintenance of medical imaging equipment, instrumentation and support systems used in healthcare delivery. The Imaging Equipment Team Leader will process inventory assessments/audits and perform preventive maintenance of medical imaging equipment. This position will provide remedial corrective maintenance and maintain documentation of all service events, tests, and maintenance performed on imaging equipment. Typical Duties: Coordinates and directs Imaging Equipment Specialist, working in conjunction with the manager to develop work standards. Repairs, installs, maintains, calibrates, and inspects complex medical imaging equipment, instrumentation, and systems. Assign routine repairs, inspections, and installations to team members and observe their performance. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with the manufacturers recommended procedures. Establish and implement equipment testing procedures. Establish and monitor work flow and assignments. Schedule equipment testing procedures. Provide technical counsel to assigned teams. In conjunction with the manager, develop, administer, and ensure compliance with quality assurance measures, and monitor and enforce Joint Commission accreditation standards and other applicable standards and regulations. Coordinate daily assignments and take responsibility for directing, evaluating, mentoring and motivating all Imaging Equipment Specialists. In conjunction with the manager develop, implement and ensure adherence to the clinical engineering practices and general departmental policies and procedures to improve the efficiency of repair services and operations. Contact medical equipment service suppliers to resolve problems with equipment operation; arrange for repair and parts replacement. Ensure accurate and efficient maintenance of department records and reports. Maintain professional growth through appropriate training seminars, workshops, conferences and related activities. Provide leadership to personnel and service as temporary site lead in the absence of the director/manager. Performs other job related duties as assigned.
