Quality Control Inspector - 3rd shfit

SUMMARY Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.  Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.    Provide quality control final inspection support, and shipping / receiving inspection support. Accurately interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, company specifications, sampling procedures, designs, forms, and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. Utilize precision tools and equipment with accuracy for testing and measurement of product. Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE   High School Diploma or equivalent Associate Degree in an aviation related field preferred At least 1-year relevant aviation work experience Minimum of 2 years’ experience in basic dimensional/visual inspection required on aviation related equipment (airframe, powerplant, and or avionic) Certify visual acuity to NAS-410 Airframe and Powerplant FAA certifications preferred   LANGUAGE SKILLS (English)   Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.   MATHEMATICAL SKILLS   Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.   REASONING ABILITY   Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical, diagram or written form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
