Systems Development Manager – AVP – Post-Trade Systems – IT – 12months Contract

Job Summary:

Applications is responsible for the design, implementation, and application support of HKEX’s market systems. Applications make up several specialized teams that have in-depth technology knowhow to support the on-going maintenance, troubleshooting, enhancements and the development of next generation HKEX platforms.

Job Duties:

The incumbent will be responsible for IT project implementation and application development on Post - Trade Systems. The candidate should be an experienced IT professional with experience gained in the implementation of critical application systems on Linux platform and Cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for system development and project implementation activities including the business requirement analysis, application development, system testing and documentation.

• Design and develop systems with modern technologies, eg Cloud and containers.

• Collaborate with teams across IT and business departments in various aspects.

• Provide production system support and performance tuning work

• Work closely with mainland colleagues and travel to Shenzhen occasionally

• Undertake any other assignments and projects as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, IT or related disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in software development in large scale systems and mission critical in nature.
• Solid knowledge in Linux, Database, CI/CD and Cloud technologies.
• Strong skills of programming languages: Java, Javascript, SQL and shell programming.
• Experience in OpenAPI and application security (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, API
• Proficiency in SDLC methodology and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
