Position: Facilities Policy Procedures Manager
Location: Advocate Corporate - may travel to sites as needed; Remote
Full Time; 1st Shift
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible person for creating, maintaining, updating, and retiring procedures in CMMS.
- Develops and maintains consistent, well-constructed maintenance procedures and support documents that comply with relevant codes and regulations. Create supplemental flow diagrams and pictorial documents that help amplify the key concepts of maintenance procedures.
- Implement Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategies to extend asset life and minimize service interruptions across the enterprise.
- Aligns maintenance and regulatory procedures across the enterprise for consistency.
- Reviews maintenance data regularly to ensure accurate procedures and schedules are assigned to assets.
- Collaborate closely with the Enterprise Regulatory team to ensure regulatory procedures are properly followed.
- Works cooperatively with other enterprise departments and divisions.
- Assures effective communication occurs between their departments and others within the enterprise.
- Implement and oversee special projects as directed by the Facilities leadership.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent knowledge.
Certification / Registration / License
- N/A
Experience
- 5 years as facilities professional in a healthcare setting, OR 5 years' experience in process improvement and consulting for healthcare or healthcare related industry required.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Solid understanding of all relevant regulatory codes, environmental compliance, energy management, computerized maintenance management systems, industry safety requirements and best practices, and healthcare accreditation standards. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Project leadership experience on large projects. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong skills in project planning and prioritization. Good problem determination skills. Must be competent working with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- This position requires travel, therefore, will be exposed to weather and road conditions. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job. Exposed to normal office environments as well as hospital / site conditions when observing work / rounding.
Preferred Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Bachelor's Degree in Business; or equivalent degree.
Certification / Registration / License
- CHFM preferred.
Experience
- 8 years as facilities professional in a healthcare setting, OR 8 years' experience in process improvement and consulting for healthcare or healthcare related industry preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Expert knowledge of relevant CMS, RCM, TJC, DNV, and NFPA regulatory codes and requirements.
