Instructional Designer (AML Compliance) —Quezon City, Philippines
Are you passionate about transforming complex topics into engaging learning experiences that drive real business results? Join Western Union as an Instructional Designer and help deliver training that makes a difference.
In this role, you’ll be part of the Global Compliance Training team, delivering training for Western Union employees and Agents worldwide. You’ll own the end-to-end training development process—from needs analysis and content creation to building digital solutions and deploying them in our learning management systems (LMSs).
We’re looking for a proactive problem-solver who combines strong instructional design skills with a continuous improvement mindset—someone who challenges assumptions and recommends solutions that enhance the learner experience and drive efficiency.
Role Responsibilities:
Content Development
- Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze learning needs and recommend solutions aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Translate complex legal content into engaging learning (eLearning courses, assessments, job aids) using adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
Digital Media Development
- Build interactive eLearning courses using Articulate 360 tools (Storyline, Rise).
- Create multimedia assets using Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Captivate).
- Apply UX and visual design principles to enhance engagement and accessibility.
LMS Administration
- Deploy and manage training in LMS platforms.
- Set up training assignments, curricula, and learning paths.
- Troubleshoot course and system issues as needed.
Reporting & Analytics
- Support audit and regulatory requests through data gathering and analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve learning programs, learner experience, and operational efficiency.
Role Responsibilities:
- 2+ years of experience designing and developing digital learning solutions.
- Proficiency in Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Working knowledge of LMS platforms and SCORM/xAPI standards.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Proactive, continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to manage projects independently from concept through deployment.
- Flexibility to work 8-hour shifts between 1:00 PM and 10:00 PM Manila time, based on business needs.
- Previous experience in AML/CFT compliance or other highly regulated fields is an advantage.
Work Shift—Hybrid
